The Society has provision for a board of fifteen directors who provide the governance role for the organisation. All directors are elected by members at the Society's annual general meeting. Four of these may be nominated by the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand, General Assembly (PCANZ) which is the national governing body of the Church.
Directors are chosen for their church and/or business experience, their commitment to the mission of the PCANZ and their willingness to serve and promote the purposes of the Society. The Society at present has nine directors, all of whom give their time and expertise to the benefit of the Society without charge.
Within the Board we have a Finance Committee of suitably qualified and experienced people who meet monthly to make decisions on investment and other finance related matters.
We also have a Mission and Promotions Committee comprising of directors with extensive pastoral, administrative and church mission experience that oversee the grants approval process and provide advice on promotional matters.
The full Board of Directors meets monthly.
