Loans from PSDS

We were originally established to provide loans to churches for capital projects at less than market rates. This is still our prime purpose and the way we can best support the church as it seeks to reach out to the local community.

We provide loans for building projects such as, but not limited to :

• New buildings and developments
• Retirement housing
• Additions and major repairs
• Community centres
• Church camps & recreational facilities
• Church equipment
• Manses
• Church schools & preschools

Guidelines

Note: These are general guidelines however we are flexible and would love to talk about the possibility of tailoring your loan to meet your needs.

1. Loans under $5,000

Monthly repayments of $100
At current interest rate

2. Term Loans

Presbyterian churches need prior approval of Presbytery and Property Trustees
5 year term renewable for 2 additional terms
PSDS will require security by first mortgage

3. Bridging Finance

Up to $300,000
For up to 6 months
Interest only for term

Why get a loan from PSDS?

• Our interest terms are generally more favourable than banks
• Banks do not fully understand churches income and ability to repay from tithes and offerings.
• We seek to make arrangements flexible to suit our clients.
• We have no application fees
• There is no penalty for early repayment
